Testing conducted by Apple in May 2019 using preproduction 2.5GHz 28-core Intel Xeon W-based Mac Pro systems with 384GB of RAM and dual AMD Radeon Pro Vega II graphics with Infinity Fabric Link and 32GB of HBM2 each and shipping 2.3GHz 18-core Intel Xeon W-based 27-inch iMac Pro systems with 256GB of RAM and Radeon Pro Vega 64X graphics with 16GB of HBM2, as well as shipping 2.7GHz 12-core Intel Xeon E5-based Mac Pro systems with 64GB of RAM and dual AMD FirePro D700 graphics with 6GB of VRAM each.Performance tests are conducted using specific computer systems and reflect the approximate performance of Mac Pro and iMac Pro. Prerelease Final Cut Pro tested using a 60-second project with 8K Apple ProRes RAW media, at 8192x4320 resolution and 29.97 frames per second, transcoded to Apple ProRes 422. Performance tests are conducted using specific computer systems and reflect the approximate performance of MacBook Pro.

Tested with prerelease Final Cut Pro 10.5 using a 2-minute project with 8K Apple ProRes 422 HQ media, at 8192x4320 resolution and 23.98 frames per second. Testing conducted by Apple in October 2020 using preproduction 13-inch MacBook Pro systems with Apple M1 chip, 16GB RAM, and 2TB SSD.Performance tests are conducted using specific computer systems and reflect the approximate performance of MacBook Air. Tested with prerelease Final Cut Pro 10.5 using a 13-second project with 4K Apple ProRes 4444 media, at 3840x2160 resolution and 24 frames per second, with 2 streams of video played back simultaneously for 5 minutes. Testing conducted by Apple in October 2020 using preproduction MacBook Air systems with Apple M1 chip and 8-core GPU, 16GB RAM, and 2TB SSD.Performance tests are conducted using specific computer systems and reflect the approximate performance of Mac mini. Tested with prerelease Final Cut Pro 10.5 using a complex 2-minute project with a variety of media up to 4K resolution. Testing conducted by Apple in October 2020 using preproduction Mac mini systems with Apple M1 chip, and production 3.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i3-based Mac mini systems with Intel Iris UHD Graphics 630, all configured with 16GB of RAM and 2TB SSD.Performance will vary based on system configuration, media type, and other factors.

Prerelease Final Cut Pro 10.4.9 with prerelease Canon RAW Plugin 2.0 tested on macOS Catalina, using a 33-second project with Canon Cinema RAW Light video, at 8192x4320 resolution and 29.97 frames per second (as part of a transcode test). Mac Pro systems tested with an attached Pro Display XDR.
